Word to the wise: This web site lists names of locations in the former Prussian province of Posen. We've come a long way towards a comprehensive list, but we still need to add most of the Polish names and many older spellings and transitional spellings. Many Posen towns used the same or similar names. To confidently determine that a town name on one of these lists is the town that your ancestors lived in or near, additional confirmation is required, other than just a name match. For example, if you also know the name of the Kreis ("county"), or the names of nearby towns, then you can feel confident that you have found the correct village.

Use of the term "Town": rather than trying to juggle terms like "City", "Town", "Village", "Hamlet", etc., "Town" was often used on Posen-L to generally refer to Posen communities, regardless of size. As time passes, the more general term "community" is replacing "town", so you will see both used, and neither is intended to imply a certain size or church status.
